Teatro Dignidad is at call for dignity...
Our Mission: We are a theatre company that promotes human rights through bilingual theatrical performance, and engaging, authentic storytelling.
Who We Are
Founded in 2017, Teatro Dignidad is a theatre company in Tucson, Arizona that is committed to producing plays that encourage critical thinking about the root causes of injustice and the need for human rights. As a border organization, our work is largely focused on uplifting the voices of local and internationally marginalized, immigrant groups. We are committed to producing work in both English and Spanish and firmly believe that Spanish speaking communities deserve access to the theatrical arts and to hear their stories told.
In February of 2019, Teatro Dignidad proudly established itself under the umbrella and fiscal sponsorship of Coalición de Derechos Humanos, a leading immigrants’ rights organization in the border. We align ourselves with their advocacy efforts.
